Alexander Technique

I became involved in this work as my insurance policy against the ravages and indignities of aging!  I want to encourage other women because most of our physical problems come from little imbalances repeated daily over a long period of time.  This is easily corrected.

Alexander Technique works to change habituated movement patterns in everyday activities.  These patterns create tension and poor posture and can lead to joint and muscle problems, breathing disorders, repetitive stress injuries (RSI) and many other conditions.

Re-training the mind-muscle system relieves pain and tension.  It improves poise, coordination, balance and ease of movement.  Alexander Technique has been recognized as unique and remarkably effective for one hundred years.

Beverley Norman MacWatt is a certified Alexander Teacher, completing an intensive three-year training.   She is a member of CanSTAT, the Canadian Society of the Alexander Technique, and STAT, the international regulating body. She received her BA from the University of Manitoba.
