Melissa Phillip

Shanti Shiatsu

Melissa inherited the skill of healing touch from her parents but did not pursue it as a career until 2004. She trained in Vancouver for two years at the Canadian College of Shiatsu before moving back home to Victoria to start her practice.  Melissa's style of shiatsu shares similarities with acupuncture, reiki and massage. Using her thumbs, palms and fingers Melissa applies pressure to points along the body that stimulate your natural healing ability. The acupuncture aspect of the treatment uses other tools rather than needles such as a diode, which is placed on top of your skin and stays with you after the treatment. Melissa believes that Shiatsu is an effective aid in the prevention of ills, maintenance of well-being, and assisting one in reaching their goals in life. Melissa believes there are many different styles of healing touch and each have their own lessons to teach us.
