Student Bursary Program

Our 2010 Bursary has been awarded to Teresa Lin, who is graduating from Mount Douglas Secondary School in Victoria, BC.

In her application for the Bursary, in response to the question "What is an entrepreneur? Is it a mindset or career choice?"  Teresa wrote:

An entrepreneur is someone who manages and assumes risk for a business ... [and] who takes responsibility for risks of his or her venture ... natural accompaniments to entrepreneurial activities.  I believe an entrepreneur [is] also someone with an intent, passion and potential for starting and controlling a business of their interest.  The truth is, someone with the true mindset of an entrepreneur will become one, with some luck and effort, as that is where their passion lies and they can achieve success in the world of business.

Congratulations Teresa!
